11-28-18 haul: bulknation, trader joe's, and ulta

Image
Hello ladies, it's time for a haul. Em and I hit the town today because I wanted a smoothie (Tropical Smoothie Cafe Cranberry Truffle smoothie to be specific, it's delicious and you should all try it asap because it's seasonal) and to get a few food things. I also had to get air in my tires which I no longer do myself because air should be free and at the gas station it is not. So we made our way to Discount Tire and a lovely boy named Zach refilled my tires for me. He was pretty cute too. An average white boy, just my type. He noticed my license plate and asked where in Texas I am from, so I said Houston, and he asked where in Houston. It turns out he is from Spring, which is weird bc that's not too far from my hometown, and is also a pretty nice area. I also got a full tank of gas for under $20 which is a blessing that has escaped my grasp for months now. (I paid $2.18 per gallon at Wawa for anyone who's curious.) We then continued on our journey (this was all pre...

the definitive ranking of team 10 members' songs

Image
This is my definitive ranking of Team 10 and their members' songs. This list includes songs from Jake Paul, Erika Costell, Justin Roberts, and more. Keep reading to see how I rank them. 25. Jake Paul -12 Days of Christmas feat. Nick Crompton I hate Christmas music, this song is super annoying, I hate it. Next! 24. Jake Paul - Deck the Halls feat. Anthony Trujillo I really wasn't sure if this should be below 12 Days of Christmas or not, so that should tell you something. It's pretty awful. On the bright side, I like Anthony and the boys are wearing snazzy suits. But yeah, I hate this. Moving on. 23. Jake Paul - All I Want For Christmas This one is still bad. Like really bad. It's just Jake singing about his merch out of tune. No thanks. 22. Jake Paul - Ohio Fried Chicken feat. Team 10 This one is awful. Truly. But it's also mildly entertaining, especially if you like chickens. It's basically a couple white boys singing about girls...

merch with a good message

Image
In this post I just wanted to give a shout out to a few people whose merch/clothing lines contain positive messages. There will be three people featured in this post that have chosen to include positivity as part of their brands, which I admire. The first person I have chosen to feature is Harry Styles.    The 'Treat People With Kindness' t-shirt, $34.95 US, and journal, $24.95 US, can be found at https://shopus.hstyles.co.uk/collections/all The second person I have chosen to include is Meghan Rienks. Her brand, martie., includes the following items and more. Girl Power Tee, $25 Get It Done Journal, $9.99 Don't Be An Asshole Heart Enamel Pin, $8 Rienks's line is a great option for people looking for cute, simple items. They have multiple designs of tees and hats eblazoned with the word 'feminist' as well as prints. This store is great for cute minimalistic office supplies as well. All items can be found at https://shopmartie.com/shop ...

slurp ramen factory review

Image
I am a big fan of ramen. Cheap ramen, fancy ramen, you name it. Earlier this year (aka before I started this blog) I went to Slurp Ramen Factory with my parents. My dad and I ordered the brisket ramen and my mom got something with less meat (maybe the black tonkatsu? not quite sure) and we got a basil popcorn chicken appetizer and soy garlic chicken appetizer to start with. The overall atmosphere of Slurp was very factory-like, as the name suggests, which I did not expect. It was very grey, cement-like, and industrial-looking. I personally enjoyed the aesthetic, as I love minimalistic decor, but it was definitely not everyone's taste. I'm pretty sure my mom hated it. This was the basil popcorn chicken appetizer. I was a big fan of this. It was easy to eat with a fork, well seasoned, well cooked, and came with some sriracha mayo (my favorite condiment). We also had some soy garlic chicken as an appetizer but I did not take a picture. This was good as well. I think I prefere...

some pictures of my cat, gryffindor

Image
This is my first "real" blog post. I already have lots of ideas for this blog which is very exciting and I think it's only fair that I kick this thing off with a post full of pictures of my favorite pet, Gryffindor. Disclaimer: I have other pets but it's not their time to shine yet. Here he is playing with some toy. I think it's a carrot. Here he is rolling in the grass. This photo features my dog's feet (upper left) as well as my feet (left). This is another photo of Gryffindor outside. He thinks he is a dog and loves the backyard. Gryffindor is found here on his lil cat scratcher box thing. He has a scratching post, but it doesn't seem to be good enough for him and he doesn't use it. This is from Target and has catnip in it. He loves it. We love it less bc we have to vacuum but it's fine I guess. Here he is trying to walk towards me. This is a really good picture of Gryffindor sitting by the back door. He probably wa...

welcome to TheJetzLife

Hello, Welcome to my blog. I'm not exactly sure what this is going to contain, what my goal is, or how long this whole blogging thing is even going to last. I think I just want to try something new. I've had a lot of ideas and everyone in my life knows I can never shut up so at least this will give me a platform to scream into the void. My apologies in advance to anyone who finds this, I really have no idea what I'm doing. Hope you enjoy the ride. Welcome to Hell, Jessie
